Help & Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Find help with imports, map points, sessions, and saved tests. Keep your original log files so you can retry an import safely.
CSV will not import, or no points appear
- Choose a raw CSV with the CSV upload control. Use the separate JSON control for an exported test package.
- Check that the file has sender latitude and longitude, receiver latitude and longitude, and a payload column.
- Range-test payload rows must include a sequence marker such as seq 5. Other messages are not plotted as range-test points.
- Check that coordinates are present and valid. Compare your column names with the example in the CSV requirements.
- Select the sessions you want in the configuration dialog and confirm the sender location to finish the import.
Points or distances look wrong
- Confirm sender and receiver latitude/longitude values and check for swapped columns or missing minus signs.
- Review the sender coordinates in the session configuration. For a stationary sender with GPS drift, use a single sender location.
- Open a marker popup to compare its receiver position, sequence, SNR, and distance with the original log.
- Check which sessions are displayed before comparing results from different runs.
One run is split into several sessions
Sessions are grouped by sender node ID. A sequence number dropping below the previous number, or a time gap longer than 30 minutes, starts a new session.
Check the sequence numbers, dates, and times in your source log. Sender GPS drift alone does not split a session. See session detection details.
Map background is blank, or colors are unexpected
- Check your internet connection if background map tiles do not load. Save or export your current test before reloading the page.
- Use the map controls to switch between signal-strength colors and session colors.
- Turn on coverage circles if you want to view them, and open point popups for individual readings.
A saved JSON test will not load
Use a JSON package exported by this tool and choose Load saved JSON test. The file must contain a top-level sessions array.
If the file was edited or truncated, retry with an unmodified export. Keep the original CSV as a fallback. See the JSON format notes.
Saved tests are missing
Browser-saved tests depend on local browser storage. Check the browser and profile where you saved the test. Clearing site data can remove saved tests.
Load a previously exported JSON package or reimport the original CSV. Export important tests to JSON before clearing browser data or switching devices.
Still need help?
Use Suggestions & Issues on the tool page. Include what you tried, the exact error, your browser, and the steps that reproduce the problem.
If you share a sample log, remove any location or identifying data you do not want to disclose.
